As dental professionals sometimes we forget our job includes education.  Even though many patients are aware of what we do, they don’t always practice it.  It is important that we make a lasting impression on our patients so that we see positive results and progress at their next visit.  The biggest assets that we have in our arsenal are our visual aids.  That may not look the same for every office, however, whether you are using an Intraoral camera, mouth models, Xrays or pictures; it is imperative that we relay the importance of one’s dental health so that the patient is able to visualize the urgency of what we are diagnosing.
